When are the coding academy sessions?
Sessions run weekdays in the afternoon typically between 3pm and 6pm and on Saturdays from 10:30am to 2pm. This does vary depending on location so please check each location for specific availability.
We also run online coding classes for those who aren't near one of our locations.
In addition some of our locations may also put on extra coding bootcamps during school holiday.
What will my child learn?
Scratch
Scratch is a high-level block-based visual programming language. Students will learn to make their own games and learn coding fundamentals.
Javascript
Beginners to advanced Javascript start with in browser games and then moving on to more complex apps.
Minecraft Java
Learn to use pure text Java and understand how to structure lines of code using proper syntax. All wrapped up in the child friendly Minecraft world.
Web developemnt
Learn how to put together web pages with these building blocks of the internet.
Roblox
Students use the Roblox Studio editor and Lua programming to build their own games and collaborate with other students.
Unity
Unity powers over half of the world’s games. Using the Unity Game Design Engine with C# programming in Visual Studio, students create games. More advanced students will learn about augmented reality.
Python
Students will start by learning the structure and syntax of simple programs, they will then tackle more advanced topics.
Microbit
Bring your coding skills to the physical world.
